The Ryan Farm Barn is the last remaining original structure from the Ryan Farm property owned by J.N. "Buddy" Ryan. Elisha Taylor built the barn for the Ryans in 1953. Ryan had bought the property in 1938, and the original homestead stood just southwest of the barn near the current tee ball fields. He used the property to house his famous coon dog sales business, known throughout the country, and the farm also produced corn, tobacco, and cattle. In the 1800s, the renowned outlaws Frank and Jesse James spent the night on this property.
