Thor Peak
Nature
Thor Peak is a 12,033-foot mountain in the northern Teton Range of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, about 1 mile west of Mount Moran. The range’s eighth-highest summit, it is distinguished by semi-permanent snowfields on its east and north slopes and by the Triple Glaciers, which contribute to its stark alpine character. Even its easiest route, up the south slope, is rated class 4, and the peak is regarded as difficult because of its remote location and the demanding approach.
