Hooper Bald is a grassy bald in the Unicoi Mountains of western North Carolina, within the Cheoah Ranger District of Nantahala National Forest. Rising to 5,429 feet, or 1,655 meters, it is notable for its open summit, part of the distinctive bald landscape found on some high Appalachian peaks. The summit is accessible by the short Hooper Bald Trail, a walk of about 0.5 mile from the trailhead and parking area on the North Carolina side of the Cherohala Skyway between mile markers 7 and 8.
