The Museum of Boulder is a private nonprofit local history museum operated by the Boulder Historical Society and dedicated to preserving and interpreting Boulder’s past. Formerly the Boulder History Museum, it was housed in the historic Harbeck-Bergheim house from 1985 to 2018 before moving to the former Masonic Lodge building at Broadway and Pine. That transition, completed with the museum’s opening there on May 19, 2018, was supported by public funding, private grants, and a major donation from Stephen Tebo. Beyond exhibitions, the museum helps preserve more than 900,000 historic photographs and documents and cares for over 45,000 artifacts, making it a central institution in Boulder’s historical life.
