Rainbow Lodge
Transportation
1
Built in 1934 by Minnie Lee Vest, Rainbow Lodge was one of the first hotels on the Susanville–Red Bluff route. It later became the centerpiece of Rainbow Village under the ownership of Dick McNeill. After serving as a hotel for many years, it became home to “The Grey Squirrel” downstairs and a health spa above. It may also have been a house of ill repute during Chester’s “Little Reno” days.
