Dansville honors its military men and women and veterans of all past wars who served the country in defense of freedom, remembering them in the glory of their youth, offering loving tribute and grateful appreciation for their service and sacrifice, and expressing the hope that those sacrifices were not in vain and that the Persian Gulf War would be the final battlefield so future generations might enjoy the peace secured by those who served in the armed forces of the United States from 1775 to 1999, including Army, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard personnel, both regulars and reserves.
