Andres Memorial Park in the Village of Freeman includes the site of a Winnebago Indian encampment area and the McKinley School site, which stood from 1871 to 1968 until a tornado destroyed it on May 15, 1968; the original McKinley School bell serves as a memorial to Leonard and Matilda Andres.
