Germantown Covered Bridge in Germantown, Ohio, was built in 1870 to carry the Dayton Pike over Little Creek and was moved in 1911 to East Center Street. Notable for its inverted bowstring design, it stood out among covered bridges. The bridge was restored in 1963 and gained listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. After a vehicle destroyed it in 1981, that listing ended, but parts of the original were used in a reconstruction and the crossing was limited to pedestrians. Continued preservation interest led to its documentation by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1992.
