Rexleigh Bridge is a wooden covered bridge spanning the Batten Kill in Washington County, New York, and one of 29 historic covered bridges in the state. Its significance lies in its Howe truss design, patented by William Howe in 1840, which here combines local timber with prefabricated cast-iron bearing blocks made by R. Comins of Troy. Those surviving components make it a rare example of nineteenth-century bridge construction methods. The bridge was inventoried by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in 1977 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 8, 1972, with three other Washington County covered bridges.
