Waddington Farms was the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. Oglebay and later became Oglebay Park, one of the finest municipal parks in the country. A 1909 plan for Mr. Oglebay showed the proposed arrangement of the grounds for Waddington Farms. In 1910, a reflection pond appeared in the Formal Gardens, which also served as the setting for a group photograph taken during the wedding of Sarita Oglebay Burton to Albert Russell, with Earl W. Oglebay and his grandson, Courtney Burton, Jr., at the center. In 1915, Courtney Burton, Jr. was photographed there with his mother, Sarita Oglebay Burton, with the Clubhouse in the background. Another view looked over the formal garden from the upstairs window of the Oglebay family's mansion at Waddington Farms.
