Rockmart Memorial Park honors those who served in the nation’s armed forces. Dedicated on November 11, 2001, it was established by the City of Rockmart and Brown–Wright American Legion Post 12 in memory of those named there who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the country and in honor of every service member who served in war and peace. It records the dead from World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf, and also recognizes service during Lebanon / Grenada and Panama.
