Mount Raymond is a 10,241-foot summit in northern Utah’s Wasatch Range, rising on the boundary of the Mount Olympus Wilderness between Salt Lake City and Park City. Part of the Rocky Mountains and managed within Wasatch National Forest, it is notable for its steep relief, climbing 3,640 feet above Big Cottonwood Canyon in only 1.5 miles. The mountain also forms a local drainage divide, with runoff from its north slope flowing toward Mill Creek and water from its south slope entering Big Cottonwood Creek. Its high elevation gives it a subarctic climate nearing alpine conditions, with snowy winters, cooler summers, and year-round precipitation.
