Tivis C. Sutherland, affectionately known as “Doc Tiv,” served the people of Haysi and the surrounding communities with sincere dedication, spending numerous hours attending the sick and helping those in need. His service to his fellow man was deeply appreciated by those he helped. Emma Sutherland, whom Doc said “made me what I am,” accompanies him here.
