Ownership of Seul Choix Point Lighthouse transferred to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in February 2000. Since 1988, the Gulliver Historical Society has restored and operated it for the people of Michigan in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Bureau of Land Management, and the United States Coast Guard.
