Seul Choix Point Light stands at a harbor of refuge on the Lake Michigan shore that was named by the French and translated "Only Choice." One of only a few such harbors along this shore, it is located at 45º 55' 22" north latitude and 85º 54' 45" west longitude. Its tower rises 78 feet-9 inches high and is surmounted by a ten sided cast iron lantern. Originally housing a third order Fresnel lens, it is now powered by an airport beacon with 17 mile visibility.
