The men and women of Louisa County volunteered, or when called upon to serve left their homes, families, and occupations to defend and preserve the freedoms and way of life on which this nation was founded. They served with bravery, sacrifice, and honor in conditions of danger, discomfort, and sometimes controversy, to ensure for future generations the legacy their forefathers left them.
