History of Maxwell Park
History
1
In 2005, former long-time Cardington Mayor Cecil Maxwell and his wife Kathryn donated 32 acres of their Whetstone riverfront land to the Village of Cardington for a park. Their vision was a place that all youth and citizens of Cardington could use and enjoy for hiking, fishing, picnicking, sports, and time together with family, inspired by the beauty of the large bend in the Whetstone River near their former Riverside Dairy. Today, Maxwell Park has been developed to achieve this vision for all to enjoy for generations to come.
