Mount Kent is a five thousand eighty-seven-foot summit in east King County, Washington, within the Cascade Range and the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Its slopes drain north into Alice Creek, a tributary of the South Fork Snoqualmie River, and it stands among nearby prominent peaks rather than in isolation, with McClellan Butte and Mount Defiance close by along the Interstate 90 corridor. The mountain shares the western Cascades' marine west coast climate, shaped by Pacific weather systems that bring heavy rain and snow, especially in winter. Wet, dense snow can create notable avalanche danger, while late summer usually offers the clearest conditions for viewing or climbing.
