At Pohakuloa Training Area on June 24, 1976, Marines of First Platoon, D Company, Third Amtrac Battalion lost their lives: Cpl. Lonnie L. Thomas, L/Cpl. Thomas J. Stramat, L/Cpl. Frank Anderson Jr., and L/Cpl. Charlie N. Mann.
