The Heritage Oak stood on this site for more than 400 years and witnessed four historical periods of Simi Valley: the time of the Chumash Indians, the Spanish period when the largest land grant ever made to the Pico family was made, the pioneer period when easterners looked for farm land, and the modern period of local industrial development.
