Sgt. Larry W. Maysey was killed in action in Laos, Southeast Asia, on Nov. 9, 1967, while serving in the U.S.A.F. To assist wounded survivors so that others might live, he subjected himself to a hail of hostile fire. He was honored in a Memorial Day dedication on May 30, 2005, by a veterans committee that included Terry Arentowicz, Scott Hoffman, Bruce Campbell, Dave Steffan, Marc Dean, Al Seals, Larry Oppel, Linda Oppel, and John Dean.
