Elden Pueblo, or Pasiwvi, is a prehistoric Sinagua village at the foot of Mount Elden near Flagstaff, occupied from about 1070 to 1275. Built of compacted stone, it likely contained around 60 to 70 rooms and housed roughly 200 to 300 people. Artifacts such as macaw remains from Mexico and shell jewelry from the California coast show its place in a wide trade network. Burials at the site have shaped interpretations of Sinagua social hierarchy, though a supposed burial mound remains disputed. The pueblo also figured prominently in Arizona archaeology after excavations in 1926 helped spur preservation efforts and the 1927 Arizona Antiquities Act.
