The Granger Subsistence Homestead Project was brought to fruition through the efforts of the U.S. Government, Franklin Roosevelt, MGSR. Luigi Ligutti, and the Grace of God. It was dedicated to the original homestead families and their descendants, and its fiftieth anniversary was commemorated in 1985. A time capsule was buried here to be opened in 2035.
