Constructed in 1866, this adobe was one of the oldest surviving buildings in Riverside County and served as a general store along the Southern Emigrant Trail as well as Temecula's post office from 1870 to 1882. Its proprietor, Louis Wolf, who was also the local justice of the peace, sometimes held court there. It also served as a stage stop for local routes through the 1880s.
