Dudley Farm Historic State Park
History
Dudley Farm Historic State Park in Newberry, Florida preserves an unusually complete Florida farm that traces agricultural life from the late 1850s to the mid-1940s, with later subsistence use by the Dudley family into the 1990s. Across about 325.6 acres, it includes 21 historic buildings and 13 structures, many with original furnishings and equipment, and is presented as a working farm rather than a static museum. Its livestock, crops, and surviving landscape features reflect everyday rural life and regional agriculture over nearly a century. After Myrtle Dudley left the property to the Florida Park Service in 1996, it gained major historic recognition, including National Historic Landmark status in 2021.
