Pike Lake Unit is an 825-acre section of the Kettle Moraine State Forest in southeastern Wisconsin, east of Hartford, occupying the east shore of 461-acre Pike Lake. Dedicated in June 1971, it is part of the Wisconsin state park system and offers camping, a beach, trails, an observation tower, and nature programs. Its importance lies in how clearly it shows the glacial landscape of the Kettle Moraine. Pike Lake formed in a kettle left by melting glacial ice, while Powder Hill is a kame created by sediment washed into openings in retreating ice. The Ice Age National Scenic Trail also passes through the unit.
