On March 16, 1792, the last Indian battle was fought on the south bank of East Fork Creek near the mouth of Grassy Run in Clermont County, where Tecumseh, a Shawnee chief known as “Blazing Star,” and Simon Kenton, a scout, were engaged in a sharp conflict, and the Indians were defeated.
