Bradley State Scenic Viewpoint is an Oregon state park on U.S. Route 30 between Astoria and Portland that reflects the evolution of early automobile travel. Donated to Clatsop County in 1921 by Fred W. Bradley and other heirs of Elmar E. Bradley’s estate, it passed to the Oregon Highway Division in 1922 and was developed as Bradley Wayside, a roadside rest area with parking, picnic facilities, restrooms, and a water system. The highway originally ran through the park, but reconstruction in the 1960s shifted the road south of it. It remains a small day-use park whose importance lies in its long adaptation to changing highway travel.
