Aurora County honors those who gave their lives for their country: in World War I, John Altman, Leo Dittrich, Nick Goeres, and Aggie Meier; in World War II, Donald Adams, Samuel Bakewell, Dale Barrows, James Campbell, William Doering, Orville Sethne, Leonard Scott, and Lyle Woods; and in Vietnam, Richard Miller and Ronald Noldner.
