Alfred L. Wilson was a World War II veteran who served as a Technician Fifth Grade in the U.S. Army with the Medical Detachment, 328th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. A recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor, the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force that can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Forces of the United States, he was fatally injured but remained with his regiment attending to other wounded comrades and paid the ultimate price.
