Lombard's veterans memorial honors local service members from the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, and Vietnam. An older plaque lists veterans who served their country in times of need, and a newer plaque from 2000 lists men who gave their lives for the country in World War II and Vietnam, including Joel Kurt Watkins of the U.S.S. Scorpion. The memorial was dedicated on Memorial Day, 5/29/2000.
