Morton House
Industry
Morton House was erected by Thomas Morton Jr. in 1853 as his home and business. He operated a general store from May 1853 until his death on February 17, 1857. Following his death, the building was used as a home rental and general store. About 1880, Andrew and Dora Campbell became owners. They added the Radnor Post Office and his shoe repair business. After Mr. Campbell's death in 1905, Mr. George T. Wolfley served as Postmaster here for many years. The building continued to be a home and general store until about 1970 when it became an apartment rental property.
