Three Top Mountain, also called Three Tops, rises in North Carolina’s High Country west of West Jefferson. Its highest point reaches 5,020 feet at a top unofficially known as Big Rock. The mountain includes a main summit along with ten additional sub-peaks of varying height. Beyond its prominent terrain, it plays an important role in the local watershed by generating feeder streams that flow to the North Fork New River.
