Ant Flat Ranger Station in Kootenai National Forest, about two miles south of Fortine, Montana, includes a cluster of historic structures alongside newer buildings. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places on December 30, 1996, it reflects the development of the station through key support buildings. Its historic core includes Building #2216, a two-story wood-frame office and warehouse built in 1927, and Building #2300, a warehouse erected in 1934 to serve as a garage and shop. Together, these buildings preserve an important part of the forest station’s historic character and function.
