Parke Peak is a 9,043-foot mountain in Montana’s Glacier National Park, within the Livingston Range, with Harris Glacier just northeast of its summit. The peak was named for John G. Parke, who was associated with the International Boundary Survey. Its setting is an alpine subarctic climate marked by long, cold, snowy winters and cool to warm summers. Conditions can be severe, with temperatures dropping below minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit and wind chills falling below minus 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
