The 1920 East Otto Union School Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the last remaining three room school houses in the USA and is noted as an outstanding example of civic architecture. Originally, grades one through ten were taught here. The school finally closed in 1967, and students were then bussed to Cattaraugus Central.
