By 1936, construction of the dam was greatly accelerated by the arrival of new heavy equipment. Workers now had excavators, dump trucks, caterpillar tractors, box sleds, and a pull-type grader. The CCC camp had storage sheds for equipment during periods of bad weather and a special maintenance crew to keep it operating properly. The grader used in the dam construction is preserved.
