Arc Dome Wilderness is a protected area in central Nevada's Toiyabe Range and, at about 115,000 acres, the state's largest designated wilderness. Administered by the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, it is known for long high-country ridgelines and for the Toiyabe Crest Trail, a 70-mile route along the range crest, about 30 miles of which pass through the wilderness. Its mountain and Great Basin habitats support wildlife including mule deer, golden eagle, northern goshawk, Columbia spotted frog, and Great Basin skink. The area remains significant in Nevada for backcountry recreation and habitat conservation.
