In 1950, the Boy Scouts of America dedicated a replica of the Statue of Liberty as part of a 40th Anniversary Crusade to strengthen the arm of liberty, pledging everlasting fidelity and loyalty with the faith and courage of their forefathers who made possible the freedom of the United States. The Longs Peak Council Boy Scouts of America and the Loveland Cosmopolitan Club dedicated it, and after it was replaced in 1985, the City of Loveland in 1986 expressed grateful appreciation for the contribution to the Loveland community.
