The Gardens on Spring Creek is an 18-acre botanical garden and environmental education center in Fort Collins, Colorado, developed through decades of local civic effort. Inspired in 1986 by Jim Clark’s vision for a community-oriented horticulture center, the project gained momentum through a nonprofit campaign, creation of a city community horticulture program in 1995, and voter approval of funding in 1997. The site opened in 2004 and expanded over time with practical, regionally focused gardens and family spaces. A major 2017–2019 expansion added five acres, new themed gardens, the Great Lawn and Everitt Pavilion, and a butterfly house, strengthening its role as a leading local horticultural destination.
