Employees of the United States Rubber Company Jersey Factory left their civilian work to enter military service and fight in the Great War for world-wide liberty from 1917 to 1919. They were Henry J. Baier, Chester A. Brokaw, Arthur Buckelew, Risieri Casagrande, Warren E. Gillian, Robert Hussey, J. Wallace Jernee, Vincent L. Lynch, George F. Meirose, John E. Pyatt, Jr., Edward Wittkofsky, William Wittkofsky, and William R. Yetman, with Chester A. Brokaw remembered in memoriam.
