The Willcox Women's Community Center was constructed by P. Howard Pregenzer and crew in memory of P. Howard Pregenzer, who lived from 1894 to 1980 and was a resident of Willcox, Arizona, from 1927 to 1980. Construction began in 1934 and was completed in 1936. The project was sponsored by the City of Willcox, Arizona, in 1936 as a United States of America Work Project Administration (WPA) construction project, O. P. No. 65-2-166.
