In grateful memory of the heroic service of the men of Company L, First Infantry, Connecticut National Guard, transferred to the One Hundred Second Infantry, Twenty-Sixth Division, and other units, who went from this armory on July 7, 1917, and upheld the highest ideals of their country for humanity in the Great World War from 1917 to 1919.
