Lee honored the men who gave their lives in World War I in what it called the war for world wide liberty: John R. Carty, Harry F. Cross, James R. Bossidy, Thomas M. Crerar, Harold M. Parker, Thomas J. Fanning, Russell R. Griffin, Charles T. Noonan, Milton D. Parker, and Ivan A. Roberts.
