Flood levels at this place recorded major high-water events on November 6, 1927, March 19, 1936, September 22, 1938, and May 30, 1984. During the March 19, 1936 flood, the water stopped one inch from the first floor. During the September 22, 1938 hurricane flood, water reached five and a half feet deep in the living room.
