Second Burial Ground
History
Established in the late 1600s, this burial ground is the last resting place of some of Exeter's early settlers, including Samuel Dudley, a respected minister who led Exeter's residents for 33 years; Nathaniel Ladd and family, influential community members who built the Ladd Gilman House; Capt. Jonathan Thing and family, respected community leaders; and other early residents.
