The first gristmill on Little Mahoning Creek, used for grinding grain in the early 1800's, was owned and operated by St. Clair Hurd. In 1933, the W.P.A. set the millstone on its present site. On June 9, 1993, Rex Hurd and Carl Kendra restored it. In September 1998, "Frog" Shank and Friends restored it.
