Hidden Glacier is a small mountain glacier in Montana’s Beartooth Mountains at about 10,500 feet. It lies in a cirque between Mount Villard to the east and Glacier Peak to the west, occupying a sheltered basin high among steep peaks. Covering roughly 10 acres, it is modest in size by mountain-glacier standards, yet its persistent ice helps shape the surrounding landscape. The glacier’s protected setting and the enclosing walls of the cirque create a distinct alpine pocket within this high mountain terrain.
