Twenty years ago, thousands of innocent lives were senselessly lost, and 383 first responders showed total devotion to their duty on September 11, 2001. Love of country strengthened the resolve to support “the land of our Pilgrim's pride,” and currently serving first responders continue to carry the torch of the heroes of 9/11. As citizens of Fayette county, thanks are given for their selfless service, with the remembrance enduring in reflective quiet and heartfelt gratitude.
