Organized about 1868, Belle Flower M.B. Church, one of the oldest Black Baptist churches in Grenada, served as a headquarters and meeting place for a number of organizations during the Civil Rights movement. From its pulpit, leaders including Andrew Young and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., promoted voter registration.
